RAK's

I made up a few post-it-note covers as RAK's(random acts of kindness) for some recent shares I have been in. One is waaaay over due, but its getting in the mail ASAP! These are super easy and I just had to use some new supplies I got in! Supplies include: Bazzill CS(brown and whtie), MM pp(6x6 pads from Target), Scalloped cirlce punch, CM cirlce cutter, SU! ribbon punch, SU! Happy Harmony and SU! Old Olive and Bucakroo Blue, Karen Foster 1/8 snap stamps(sentiment), M's ribbon, and Sakura Clean gel pen(dots around scalloped cirle). I usually make these with the opening from top to bottom, but wanted to try something different and these ones open from left to right.

Stars and Stripes...

I have been busy putting some more pages together in my husband's military album. I have to say that his album is super easy to play with because I don't have to add a whole lot of embellishments, just some nice brads and fancy paper. My husband also likes to use it as a "selling" point with RD. He can show new recruits all the places they will visit while in service. Some of the countries he has visited include: Greece, Italy, Ireland, Spain, and Portugal. Wish I could have been there! Just click on the picture to view a larger shot.

Spring has ARRIVED:)...

I was MIA this last week, because the weather is nice and I've been to all the parks in a 5 block radius in Brooklyn:) My hubby and the kids spent yesterday in Manhattan and visited several places and Gracie's fav. Toys R' Us in Times Square(they have a HUGE ferris wheel inside that she rode with her daddy!) It has been so much fun taking the kids to the park and just being outside. I'm not a native of NY and I can barely stand the winters here, it gets down right nasty in the winter time:( Anyhoo, just wanted to share what we've been up to...Addison has discovered she hates the grass(almost had her in tears...lol), and Gracie had her first experience with the Ice Cream Man...didn't hear a peep from her until she finished her cone! I have also managed to finish up several projects this week and they will be up starting tomorrow. Some I will not post just yet because they are for birthdays and some other special holidays coming up...don't want to give the secrets away just yet!

Fridge Frames...

Remember all those coasters we've bought?? Well here is a good use, of many, for them:) I was totally inspired by the tin frames I saw in this months issue of PaperCrafts Mag. I didn't have the frames made by MM, but I did have some nice CS and my cuttlebug??!!! I just "cuttled" the paper, rubbed ink over the raised portion and tied with M's ribbon. And of course, who could go wrong with Prima flowers?? These are from the Essentials 2 line that I just received from a share with TexasJodylynn. She has great customer service and is a super-sweet gal! Lastly, be sure to adhere a magnet strip on the back and voila!

UPDATE:Use your paper piercing guide to make a perfect center square. Just lay the piercing guide over the coaster(they are the exact same size) and determine how big you want your border to be. Pick 4 holes to punch, remove guide, connect the dots with a pen and cut out with an exacto knife. Works perfectly every time. Its hard to tell from the photos, but I chose two different border sizes, two of them have wider borders for added interest:)

Happy waiting...

This gal is soo shabby chic...she "almost" makes me want to have another...in a different lifetime that is...lol J/K! I love my two little girls to death, but would probably be bald(from pulling my hair out) if I had another. This card was pretty quick to put together, although when I cut the paper it was intended for a totally different project.

Supplies include: SEI pp(fruit stand), CM cs, CM circle punch, SU! "swell news" set, SU! scalloped punch, Black Stazon ink, Faux stitching, watercolor pencils/blender pen, and M's ribbon.

Sweet baby GIRL...

It must be baby season around here...lol I made up this quick gift for a friend. Since Spring is around the corner...hopefully soon in NY...I chose to use some fun and bright colors. The set of burp cloths are made with Flip Flop material from Fabric Attic(their quality is awesome!)and the backing is a Gerber Cloth Diaper. I finished it off by tying with M's ribbon. The candy jar is covered in Anna Griffin and I used the SAB punch set for the tag. Now off to get this in the mail, as the baby is due next week! YEAH!!

Big BOY birthday...

My newphew, Aidan, will be turning 1 in a few weeks so I made him up a few things. The card and candy jar are in previous posts, so you can check those for the deets:) Packages are wrapped in recycled grocery sacks that I just simply stamped up. I also stamped the craft ribbon with ants and ladybugs. Super simple and fun project. It was a nice change since I do not have little boys! I just had to include Aidan cruising in his wagon with custom made "sock monkey" seat covers...made by *yours truly*. He is such a ham:)

Big ol' flower...

I have been waiting to get these BIG flowers from Heidi Swapp. They are so cute, however, I also had to make a rather large card for the flower to fit on. Supplies include: Edgy Eloquence stamp set, White bazzill cs, We R memory keepers PP and green paper, Heidi Swapp White flower(I rubbed a craft pad of Bashful Blue over the flower), Brown CM cs for the round frame in the middle, vintage brads, CM brown marker to do the lines around the card, and buttons.
